Which election is this?

City (Municipal) is every year in September/October. State/Federal is every other year (evens) in August (Primary) and again in November (General). Special elections as-needed.

The shortest terms (State and Federal Representatives) are for two years, and do not occur on a rolling basis, so: Every even year, we have State and Federal Primary Elections on the third Tuesday in August, and then State and Federal General Elections the first Tuesday in November, and nothing for State and Federal offices on odd years (this is why odd years are so nice!). City offices are elected on a rolling basis, so even though they all have longer terms than 2-year Representatives, CBJ elections are every year, on the first Tuesday of October.

Who can I vote for?

For the Alaska races: You currently live in Senate District B, and in House District 3 or 4. For Alaska Legislature races, we all get to vote for the Senator of B. 3 and 4 get to vote only for their respective House Representatives.

For the City races: We all get to vote for all CBJ Assembly seats, regardless of district. The requiremnt that there be a ''Valley seat'' and a ''Downtown seat'' is just to ensure geographic representation.
